Small and large cup, two blade assemblies It is attractive enough to stay on the countertop for easy, daily use. One of the best features is that clean up is a breeze! Just remove the one-piece blade assembly, give it a quick rinse, place the lid on the cup and I'm out the doorheaded to work! The attachable cups in two sizes mean I always make exactly what I need - no extra to save or toss. It is powerful enough to crush and blend ice, frozen fruit pieces, and thoroughly mix any added dry ingredients.

I use this product every morning when making my breakfast smoothie.

True Great quality at an affordable price.Ĭuisinart SmartPower Blender CPB300 is an excellent choice for single serving smoothie, cocktail, or shake recipes.
Cuisinart blender problems portable#
The Cuisinart Portable Blender has really made it easier for me to eat healthier foods, even when I am rushing around. I have not put them in the dishwasher because I don't want to take any chances on messing them up in any way. The cups and lids are also quite easy to clean as well. It works really great for blending the fruit into the carnation mixes I use without leaving it lumpy or chunky. I can't weigh in too much about how well the chopping blade works because I currently limit it's use for making smoothies and carnation mixes. The 4 cups with lids it came with seem pretty durable so far. It isn't too noisy and I love that it doesn't demand too much counter space, in fact, I often put it away in a cabinet when it is not in use. It didn't come with a recipe guide though which kind of disappointed me but, that's really a small matter- as I was able to find some interesting recipes online. Mine came with a 3 year limited warranty as well. It also came with a 32 ounce base jar and a separate chopping blade. It came with 4 to go cups with lids that you can sip from. So far I have used it for about 5 days a week for the past several weeks. I bought this model specifically because I saw it listed at a reasonable price and it was available at a store that was covered by a cash back site I am registered to. We are taking the $20 Cuisinart wants us to spend and putting it towards a new blender from a different manufacturer, probably KitchenAid.I have only had the Cuisinart SmartPower Portable Blender for several weeks now but, So far I think it's a pretty good fit for me.
Cuisinart blender problems cracked#
I understand that the blender is out of warranty, but given that the blade has failed twice, I would expect Cuisinart to stand behind their product- or at least waive the S & H! I paid $80 when we first purchased the blender- why would I spend 25% of the original price to replace something that has failed twice?! If the blade unit had honestly cracked due to wear and tear, I would gladly pay for the replacement piece, but we have used it so little (we've been a little afraid to given how fragile it has been) I am more than a little frustrated that Cuisinart will not replace what is a fundamentally flawed part.

Now it has happened again, and Cuisinart wants me to spend $20 (including S & H) to replace a twice-faulty piece. The first time the piece cracked, Cuisinart replaced the part even though the blender was out of warranty, which I appreciated. What has been really frustrating, is that the blade unit for the blender has cracked twice, causing whatever we are blending to leak all over the place. My husband and I have used it far less than we anticipated- the food processor attachment is a little too small to do much except a sauce, and the blender has a very difficult time making smoothies with frozen fruit or crushing ice- when we try to blend anything frozen, the unit emits a burning smell as if the motor is working too hard- if the motor can't handle frozen foods or ice, there should not be a "crush ice" option, but I digress. Bought this food processor/blender combo thinking it would be a highly versatile appliance.
